The heart of a community is it's local business community. Small business owners work hard each day to bring dollars to town and provide the best, personal service to their local customers.

We’re not shy to say a big part of our mission is keeping our advertising costs low for sole-proprietors and small businesses, so these awesome folks can take part in glossy, brand-building advertising, which works! Hyper-local, high-quality advertising options were scarce. We are filling the needs of small businesses to promote themselves to their communities in a medium which reflects the quality of their brands.

What We're All About...

SIZE MATTERS – Who made the rule that all magazines and newsletters have to be 8.5 x 11?

Why are all of our publications smaller than the average bear? Honestly, at first we just wanted to be different. Secondly, we hoped this would keep our print costs down, so we could keep our advertising costs low for small businesses. But what we’ve found over the years is readers LOVE our odd size (7X9.5); and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

VALUES – first things first, work/life flexibility, family (whatever that means to us), faith, optimism, character (zero tolerance for gossip, arrogance, condescension), humility, compassionately competitive, authenticity

CULTURE – entrepreneurial, collaborative, humble, humor, respectful, authentic, creative, competitive with our best selves

PEOPLE – We are individuals with different ideas, talents, gifts, opinions and quirks; and we celebrate our individuality by encouraging authenticity in our people. We are entrepreneurs at heart, which means each of us treats our work with a “buck-stops-here” mindset. We take responsibility for our successes and mistakes, always strive to improve our products and processes, and are unafraid of change when we discover better ways of doing things. We have lives outside of work, which motivate us to work hard, smart and efficiently.

LIVE LOCALLY – We live, work, shop, eat, play and pray in or very near the communities we serve. We are big supporters of Small Business Saturday, local farmers’ markets, elections, festivals, charities, locally-owned restaurants and boutiques… and we default to buying local whenever possible.

FAITH – We have faith in ourselves, faith in our products, faith in our customers, and faith in God (in whichever way God manifests in us).

HOPE – We have hope for a better future for ourselves, our families, our products and our customers.

CHARITY – We offer a half page ad complimentary in every magazine we publish to a local non-profit organization to promote themselves to the community.  Additionally, we hire charitable folks.

TECHNOLOGY — Some of our people are better than others about using technology resources to achieve individual goals. But, collaboratively, we strive to continually update our digital publishing platforms in order to provide the absolute best print/digital integration for our advertisers.


We live locally. The tag-line of almost every magazine we produce is, "Live, work, shop, eat, play, pray locally." We care about the small business owners in our local communities and shop/eat close to home, whenever possible. Commit to LOCAL.


We not only write about the local farmers' markets, festivals and community non-profits, we LIVE it all. If you're part of the Local Life family you tend to eat at local restaurants, attend local festivals and run in local 5Ks. In North Fulton, we think there is never a good reason to go ITP (inside-the-perimeter) when we've got everything we need right here.


Open Positions


Launch and own your own local magazine as an LLP licensee.  Publishers produce a local magazine in their own town as part of the Local Life family of publications. Step-by-step instructions on launching a local magazine in nine weeks, along with forms and templates needed to hit the ground running. Publishers own 100% of their magazine and may find their own vendors or use LLP vendors for design, content and accounting. 

The primary responsibility is securing enough advertising sales for the magazine in order to make a good profit each issue. Whether you sell the advertising yourself or hire salespersons, it's imperative the Publisher's focus be sales-minded.

Many Publishers are from creative backgrounds (designers, writers, photographers) or they may be excellent on the business and accounting side of things able to delegate the content of their publications. Natural salespersons tend to have the most success from the start, but anyone can publish a magazine---we can show you how!

Associate Publishers

Are you an experienced sales professional that puts your clients’ needs before your own?  Are you a people-person that thrives in a meaningful, fast-paced environment?  Are you looking for a way to control your work/life balance, your career path, and your income? 

Associate Publishers with LLP are independent contractors (1099) who run their own businesses and daily schedule. There is no up front cost associated with this position. APs work remotely managing all aspects of the advertising sales, as well as the communities' brands. Their primary responsibility is advertising sales and they are offered a commission-based income, which grows as they grow their book of business. 

Local Life Publishing handles all the pieces of putting the publication together: printing, accounting, design, production, distribution, content, photography. Associate Publishers may hire a sales team to work with them to grow the revenue. Associate Publishers have creative input in the look and content of their magazine and are responsible for signing off on each issue before it goes to press.

Coordinate editorial content and offer story ideas that are pertinent to the issue months. Become the "face" of the local magazine in the market by working with community leaders to craft partnerships and sponsorships to increase magazine revenue beyond advertising sales. Launch additional products within the same market (maps, guides, etc..). Manage the Facebook page for the magazine, as well as post articles, events or blog posts to the magazine's web site.

Advertising Directors

We are looking for dynamic individuals to interact with local businesses and help them market to our readers by advertising in our magazines! If you have advertising sales experience in newspaper, magazines, radio or online then we’d love to talk to you.

Freelance Writers

We are looking for freelance writers to cover assigned topics in Roswell, Milton and Alpharetta and Marietta, Georgia. We pay per piece based on pre-approved word count: $50 up to 500 words, $75 up to 650 words and $100 up to 1000 words. Graphic Designer
